Brainstorming Ideas
Ideation Brainstorms – We were tasked to explore a minimum of 3 ideas. I Brainstormed and wrote lots of ideas down in my journal.
I then used a Mind Map program to combine some of the ideas together. The use of different colors helps me see the scope of things. I also enjoy how the mind map becomes its own piece of artwork within the creation of this piece of artwork.

Growing up, My father told me the aliens put us here on earth. My catholic mother told me it was god. This has always created a huge fracture within my identity, and how I view religion. This instillation brings up the concepts of Believing vs Knowing, and Need vs Want. The truth is out there…
2. Brainstorm Using Art Medium
Yarn Bombing
I always love seeing the different colors of a good Yarn Bombing. It adds brightness on a winter day. When I see it on trees, I think of a warm sweater or bright scarf for the tree. It always makes me think how we need to take care of our environment just a little better. I have a mountain of knitted sweaters and blankets and yarn in need of a project.
3. Brainstorm Without Limits
Wearable Art Dress
The Idea: The model walks down the runway. she is dressed in Rococo fashion. Her hair is piled high on her head. she wears a very wide dress. Her dress opens up, like the curtains at the movie, to reveal a flat screen. In her tall hair hides a camera that takes live feed video of the crowd. The live feed is played on the big screen at the front of her dress. The Watcher becomes the Watched. The viewer views themselves as part of the dress and part of the instillation. The view changes as the model walks further down the runway.
