Choose 10 photos and format to a 9×16 size for slideshow presentation

Choreographing Collaboratory Workshop

The activity I chose to create with the class I called ’Forest Tea’. The forest nourishes us body and soul. I wanted to draw focus on our sense of taste for this activity. To give thanks to the forest for all she does. I harvested items from my time in the forest for the tea blend. All the items were dehydrated in my oven or in my car using the sun. Some of the very items we were consuming were displayed in my photographs

  • Blueberries
  • Blackberries
  • Huckleberrys
  • Wild Strawberries
  • Rosehips
  • Fir Needles
  • Pine Needles
  • Mint
  • Fennel
  • Clover Flower

I stitched up some little tea bags and also brought honey and dried stevia from my garden. I chose to use recycled paper cups and birch wood spoons. They cost more, but are so much better for the environment.

Personalized Forest Blends

I discovered if you plug two kettles in over by the plaster sinks, it will trip the breakers!

After everyone had their personal forest brew, we sat down to watch a slideshow presentation of my photos. I chose to play the song Detectorists by Johnny Flynn to accompany my slideshow.

DetectoristsSong by Johnny Flynn

Will you search through the lonely earth for me?
Climb through the briar and bramble
I’ll be your treasureI felt the touch of the kings and the breath of the wind
I knew the call of all the song birds
They sang all the wrong words
I’m waiting for you
I’m waiting for youWill you swim through the briny sea for me?
Roll along the ocean’s floor?
I’ll be your treasureI’m with the ghosts of the men who can never sing again
There’s a place, follow me
Where a love lost at sea
Is waiting for you
Is waiting for you
